Job summary

Talan is seeking a Big Data Developer to join an Agile environment, designing and evolving data lake solutions for Market Risk use cases. You will work with Spark, Scala and SQL to build large-scale data pipelines, ingesting, transforming and publishing critical data while ensuring performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with Agile squads and production support teams, contributing to planning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in Big Data or data platforms.
• Proficiency with Apache Spark, Scala and SQL for large-scale processing.
• Knowledge of Data Lake architecture, data quality controls and production-grade pipelines.
• Fluent English (C1); Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data lake pipelines using Spark, Scala and SQL.
• Build scalable data processing solutions for large data volumes.
• Orchestrate batch workflows with Control-M and Airflow.
• Implement ingestion, transformation, validation and publication for Market Risk data.
• Improve performance, reliability and scalability of Spark workloads.
• Collaborate with Agile squads and production teams to deliver value.
• Support production incidents and drive operational improvements.
• Follow data and software engineering best practices.
