Job summary

Binagora is a remote-first software crafters collective specializing in building high-quality, custom solutions for diverse sectors. They seek a Senior Python Developer to drive backend engineering for migrating from Java Spring Boot to a Django-based Python API and React frontend.

You will design scalable RESTful APIs, collaborate across teams to migrate service logic, and ensure data integrity with modern DevOps practices using Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional development experience (language-agnostic).
• 3+ years backend development with Python, Django and DRF.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL and ORM proficiency (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with modern DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the re-platforming effort to migrate legacy Java Spring Boot microservices into a Django-based Python API and React frontend.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs in Python (Django/DRF).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate service logic and ensure data integrity during migration.
• Write clean, maintainable code across backend (Python) and frontend (React).
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions to optimize performance.
