Prometeo Talent is assisting a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup in finding a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python, with emphasis on distributed systems and AI-assisted development workflows.

The role requires 8+ years in software engineering, strong Python and Java skills, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging systems.

Formación

• Eight+ years of software/backend experience.
• Five+ years of Python for production-grade systems.
• Strong Java experience in backend services.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based application development in production.
• Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of databases, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features end-to-end from design to monitoring and optimization.
• Deliver production-ready systems with reliability and performance focus.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to translate business requirements into tech solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while preserving quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions.
