Canonical is seeking a Project Manager for Ubuntu Embedded Systems to lead large, complex customer-facing projects and coordinate delivery across engineering teams and clients. The role focuses on ensuring scope, schedule, and budgets are met while engaging with cross‑functional, global teams.

The position requires strong leadership, Linux knowledge, and excellent English communication. A PMP/PRINCE2 certification is preferred, with travel up to four times a year and flexible hours to support

Formación

• Solid experience delivering engineering services to customers and managing software teams.
• Experience managing cross-cultural, multi-continent resources.
• Degree in Science/Tech/Engineering/Math preferred.
• Knowledge of Linux, open-source, and computer architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving with sponsor relationships.
• PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner preferred.
• Ability to work non-standard hours to support global teams.
• Willingness to travel up to four times a year.

Responsabilidades

• Lead projects through full lifecycle and ensure goals are met.
• Deliver engineering professional services for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with engineering teams on board enablement and Ubuntu image delivery.
• Prepare and maintain project statements of work.
• Draft and maintain project schedules and plans.
• Obtain client agreement to schedule and work items.
• Ensure delivery within time, resources, and scope.
• manage risk mitigation and issue resolution.
• Keep client and internal stakeholders informed of status.
• Oversee third-party deliverables and dependencies.
• Identify non-contract engineering requests and escalation paths.
• Advocate Canonical technologies to customers.
