Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a senior backend-focused engineer to join our rapidly growing team. You will design and deliver low-latency API services, build scalable RESTful APIs, and integrate with external services using SDKs.

Formación

• 5+ years backend-focused software development
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing including integration tests against real databases
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full-stack development and contributing to frontend
• Background with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
• Extreme ownership and accountability for deliverables

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop backend services with a focus on low-latency APIs
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with external services via SDKs
• Manage database schemas, migrations and security (RBAC/RLS)
• Collaborate on frontend work when needed and contribute to UI tasks
• Ensure robust testing, including integration tests against real databases
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment on AWS Fargate/ECS
• Work with AI coding assistants to accelerate development
• Deliver high-quality software for multiple clients in a fast-paced setting
• Maintain security and multi-tenant isolation across services
• Overlap US business hours to support client needs
