Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding across the Americas, seeking an experienced backend-focused software engineer. You will build low-latency API services on AWS, design secure multi-tenant systems, and collaborate with teams on scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and React for frontend tasks when needed.

Formación

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection testing.
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development with ability to contribute to frontend work when needed.
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop backend services in Node.js/TypeScript for scalable APIs.
• Collaborate on AWS-based, low-latency architectures and secure multi-tenant designs.
• Implement RESTful services and integrate external SDKs.
• Write and optimize SQL, manage schema migrations, and ensure data integrity.
• Contribute to frontend tasks when needed and participate in testing strategies.
• Maintain high-quality code with thorough testing across real databases.
• Work with AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and operations on AWS Fargate/ECS.
• Partner with clients and teams to ensure reliable, scalable solutions.
