Job summary

Homeward seeks an Analytics Engineer to build and scale our data foundation. You will own critical data pipelines, develop dimensional models with dbt, and ensure AI-ready data infrastructure. Remote, LatAM-based contract with overlap to US Central Time.

You’ll partner with analysts and engineers to deliver reliable data, governance, and scalable analytical datasets across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI, or similar data-focused roles.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and dimensional data modeling, with experience designing scalable analytical datasets.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production data models and semantic layers using dbt.
• Experience owning data ingestion and transformation pipelines and diagnosing failures.

Responsibilities

• Own health and reliability of data pipelines and prevent ingestion failures.
• Design, develop, test, and optimize scalable dimensional data models and data marts using dbt.
• Structure data models around abstract business definitions and connect business logic to implementation.
• Architect data environment for AI-readiness and ensure governed, accessible data.
• Evaluate tooling and validation processes to ensure accurate outputs.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology on data dependencies and minimize disruptions.
• Translate analytical needs into scalable solutions within our analytics platform.
• Develop domain expertise across Homeward's business and become a technical contact for data models and metrics.
• Establish monitoring, testing, and data-quality practices to improve confidence in data.
• Identify opportunities to improve overall data architecture and propose practical solutions.
