Job summary

World Business Lenders (WBL) is seeking an Internal Audit Team Lead to manage audits across the lending lifecycle, post-closing, and compliance. The role oversees a team of 4 analysts and reports to the SVP of Internal Audit.

WBL operates fully remotely with a US- based schedule (Eastern Time) and requires a hands-on leader capable of coaching, fieldwork, and delivering high-quality audit workpapers and reports.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit.
• Willingness and ability to perform hands-on audit testing and fieldwork.
• Experience supervising staff, reviewing workpapers, and managing multiple deadlines independently.
• English proficiency at C1 level (Advanced).
• CIA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a pod of Internal Audit Analysts.
• Review audit workpapers, testing, and reports to ensure quality and consistency.
• Evaluate operational controls and compliance with lending policies and post-closing activities.
• Draft, finalize, and present audit reports to senior management.
• Oversee remediation tracking and validation of management's corrective actions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Auditing, or a related field
