Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to design and scale a platform used by enterprise procurement teams. The role blends frontend and backend ownership across React and Ruby on Rails, translating wireframes into production features with close collaboration to product, data science, and design teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in Rails and SQL, strong HTML/CSS skills, and a proactive, leadership-friendly mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building web apps using Rails, Entity, Spring, or similar MVC framework.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases (Postgres/RDS).
• 3+ years of HTML/CSS and responsive web styling.
• 3+ years turning wireframes into production features.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and adapting to changing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills, strategic mindset, and leadership potential.
• Performance mindset for client/server optimization.
• Experience using Git with GitHub in a collaborative environment.
• Experience in fast-moving environments with on-call rotations and documented SLAs/SLOs/RPOs/RTOs.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and build scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Staff Tech Leads to estimate and commit.
• Implement best practices to optimize development processes and efficiency.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including leadership.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
