Speechify is hiring for a backend-focused role within a fully distributed team. The Platform team maintains the backend for payments, subscriptions, auth, and the public TTS API across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and web.

The ideal candidate shows strong TS/Node skills, cloud experience, and a track record of building reliable services. You will automate processes, drive scalable architecture, and collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to advance our backend.

Formación

• Proven backend experience in TS/Node is required.
• Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud.
• Habit of giving away work you used to own with tangible outcomes.
• Ability to describe AI agents and automation in detail.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and our public TTS API.
• Improve external services to be faster, cheaper, and more reliable.
• Ensure changes are correct before shipping and leave automated checks in place.
• Automate repetitive parts of the role and broaden reusable work across the team.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web to keep backend architecture aligned with product roadmap.
