Scale Up Recruiting Partners in Argentina is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable Python backends supporting AI and GenAI solutions for enterprise customers.

You will own backend architecture end-to-end, from API design to deployment, monitoring, and optimization, integrating AI models, vector databases, embeddings, data pipelines, and AWS services in a fully remote, long-term contractor role.

Formación

• Strong Python backend development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Designing and building scalable APIs and backend services.
• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI including model integrations and vector databases.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Docker and modern deployment pipelines.
• Distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Knowledge of functional programming and maintainable design.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work.
• Professional-level English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Build scalable backend systems using Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop services for document retrieval, processing pipelines, and AI/GenAI workflows.
• Design reliable APIs connecting AI models, vector databases, embeddings, and systems.
• Build reusable Python components that integrate with AWS services.
• Work with containers, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.
• Implement logging, metrics, tracing, and internal tools to monitor performance.
• Write clean, testable code while separating business logic from infrastructure.
• Take ownership of backend systems and decisions end-to-end.
