Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to own and improve the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare setting. You will operate AWS/EKS, Argo Workflows, and IaC pipelines with Terraform while driving reliability and incident response.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Data Engineering and Security, and participate in an on-call rotation across LatAm hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps or SRE in production.
• Hands-on AWS in production environments.
• Kubernetes and Amazon EKS expertise, with ops and reliability focus.
• Argo Workflows or similar orchestration experience.
• Terraform and IaC with source-controlled practices.
• CI/CD pipelines design, release processes, and automation.
• Monitoring/logging/incident tools such as Splunk, PagerDuty or similar.
• Lead complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis, preventive actions.
• Python/Shell scripting for automation.
• Strong communication in English; able to mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership during LatAm window, handle operations and L2/L3 escalations.
• Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure including EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda.
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows; manage deployment and capacity.
• Define standards for IaC, configuration management, and CI/CD using Terraform and Git.
• Improve observability; link alerts to runbooks and data workloads.
• Optimize alert routing across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty, and Teams.
• Lead major incidents, conduct post-incident reviews, drive corrective actions.
• Design reliability improvements and automate repetitive tasks.
• Track service metrics: availability, SLA, alert volumes, MTTR.
• Maintain HIPAA/GDPR/FDA-compliant change management and auditability.
• Create runbooks, procedures, architecture context, and knowledge transfer.
