Job summary

Avature, a market-leading SaaS provider, seeks a QA Engineer for Argentina with hybrid work. You will collaborate with product and development teams to ensure high-quality software through automation, planning, and close cooperation across departments.

You will design test plans, develop automated tests (notably with Selenium), and promote QA culture while staying current with AI-enabled testing trends.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience in BDD testing (Gherkin, Cucumber, Behave).
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing automated tests using Selenium.
• Design and implement test plans.
• Coach other QA engineers on the testing framework.
• Perform end-to-end testing of features, bug fixes, and refactors.
• Analyze customer bug reports and reproduce steps, routing to development.
• Provide feedback on requirements specs.
• Learn the team's tools, frameworks, and languages.
• Promote QA policies and best practices.
• Identify testing and automation needs and propose solutions.

Our QA Engineers are actively involved in every step of the development process, from feature planning to release, working hand-in-hand with the product and development teams.

As we work with agile methodologies, automation is a big part of our work, which is currently based on a very mature automation infrastructure and practices.

Your Challenges And Objectives

• Gain full understanding of product specifications.
• Obtain thorough knowledge of our complex and highly configurable platform.
• Work hand-in-hand with all company teams, understanding their different needs.
• Add value to the product life cycle from step one.
• Deliver a high-quality product.
• Act as a promoter of QA culture.
• Maintain an optimal automation coverage.

Your Day-to-day Activities

• Help with development of automated tests (mainly with Selenium)
• Design test plans.
• Support other QAs on how to use the framework in their teams.
• Do integral and end-to-end testing (features, bug fixes, and refactors).
• Receive bug reports from customer-facing teams, analyze them, find steps to reproduce them, and route them to development.
• Provide feedback on requirement specs.
• Get acquainted with your team's tools, frameworks, and programming languages.
• Promote and apply QA policies and best practices.
• Detect needs related to testing and automation, and propose solutions.

About You

• Hands-on experience in test automation tools and frameworks (such as Selenium).
• Knowledge or understanding of any programming language is a plus.
• Curious and analytical.
• Technical academic background or experience is a plus.
• Experience in BBD testing (Gherkin, Cucumber, Behave).
• Good understanding of written and oral English.
• Proactive, final-user oriented, and a team player.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work and genuinely interested in staying up to date with emerging AI capabilities.
