Tekton Labs is seeking a QA / UAT Migration Specialist Lead to drive the testing strategy for a large-scale platform modernization. You will oversee end-to-end quality assurance, set entry/exit criteria, quality gates, and defect governance across QA, integration, regression, security, and performance testing.

You will lead the UAT with business stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure data handling meets PCI DSS, and deliver dashboards and sign-offs for production cutover.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience leading QA, UAT, integration testing, and defect governance in large-scale migrations.
• Extensive domain experience in payment processing or financial platforms is a plus.
• Hands-on with enterprise defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
• Strong English and Spanish communication skills.

At Tekton Labs, we are looking for a QA / UAT Migration Specialist Lead to drive the comprehensive testing strategy, functional certification, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for a large-scale platform modernization project. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end quality assurance strategy, establishing strict entry/exit criteria, quality gates, and defect management frameworks across QA, integration, regression, security, and performance testing phases. You will work closely with cross-functional technical teams, solution vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure that the solution validated during UAT is identical to what is promoted to production, guaranteeing platform stability, compliance, and seamless operational cutover.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine, and govern the end-to-end testing strategy and quality framework across QA, Integration, Regression, UAT, and Post-Go-Live phases.
• Establish formal entry and exit criteria, quality gates, and production readiness checklists for all testing stages.
• Lead and coordinate the UAT process, ensuring business scenarios reflect real-world merchant acquiring and transaction processing workflows.
• Design and manage the central defect management lifecycle, establishing severity matrices, resolution SLAs, ticket flows, and escalation procedures.
• Oversee test environment alignment and ensure test data practices strictly adhere to PCI DSS compliance, data masking, and confidentiality requirements.
• Coordinate and track integration, load, performance, and security testing milestones across multiple technical stakeholders.
• Drive test automation strategies by identifying key regression scenarios and standardized quality reporting metrics.
• Generate executive dashboards, status reports, risk matrices, and formal sign-off deliverables for production go-live clearance.

Must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading QA, UAT, integration testing, and defect governance in large-scale system migration or transformation projects.
• Extensive domain experience within payment processing, merchant acquiring, card systems, or financial transaction platforms.
• Practical experience establishing quality gates, entry/exit criteria, defect severity matrices, and testing SLAs.
• Hands-on proficiency with enterprise defect tracking and lifecycle tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
• Solid understanding of test environment coordination, sensitive data masking, and PCI DSS compliance standards.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.

Nice to have

• Domain knowledge of payment acquiring flows, authorization, capture, settlement, chargebacks, or ISO 8583 messaging protocols.
• Experience with API integration testing, file-based interfaces, and transaction switching platforms.
• Practical exposure to test automation strategies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
