Applaudo is seeking a QA Functional Analyst who thrives on end-to-end quality across UI, backend, and data. You will design tests based on risk, validate business rules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable software delivery.

This is a temporary 3-month opportunity in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of functional QA experience, strong SQL skills, and experience with web, API-based, and enterprise applications.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional experience in Functional Quality Assurance within complex or enterprise applications.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Intermediate SQL skills and data validation across layers.

• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to identify scenarios, risks, and coverage gaps.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Validate business rules and complete workflows across multiple application layers.
• Use SQL to verify data consistency, transaction integrity, and correct persistence.
• Document, track, retest, and follow defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and distributed teams.

Job Description

About You

You are an analytical and proactive QA Functional Analyst who enjoys understanding how complex business processes work beyond the user interface. You approach quality from an end-to-end perspective, validating not only application behavior but also the business rules, transactions, and data that support each workflow.

You are comfortable identifying scenarios that may not be explicitly documented, designing tests based on risk, and investigating inconsistencies across frontend, backend, and database layers. You bring strong attention to detail, ownership, and autonomy, and you can maintain a high standard of quality while working with changing requirements and demanding timelines.

Note: This is a temporary 3-month opportunity.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Functional Quality Assurance within complex or enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation.
• Experience validating data consistency, transaction integrity, and persistence across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Knowledge of formal test-design techniques, including equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, and risk-based testing.
• Experience testing web, mobile, API-based, integrated, or transactional applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, autonomy, ownership, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in banking, fintech, insurance, or financial services environments.
• Experience testing financial transactions, accounts, payments, loans, balances, or reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.
• Exposure to test automation, CI/CD, and backend integrations.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to identify scenarios, risks, and coverage gaps.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Validate business rules and complete workflows across multiple application layers.
• Use SQL to verify data consistency, transaction integrity, and correct persistence.
• Compare frontend behavior against backend and database results.
• Document, track, retest, and follow defects through resolution.
• Prioritize testing according to business and technical risks.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and distributed teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, blockers, and quality concerns.
• Adapt to changing requirements while maintaining quality under strict deadlines.
