GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our LATAM delivery team in Argentina.

You will design, execute, and document test scenarios across API testing, web applications, and backend services, working with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality software throughout the SDLC. You will validate API endpoints and payloads using Postman, write complex SQL queries for data integrity, and manage defects in JIRA.

• 3+ years of QA experience focusing on web applications, API testing, and backend services.
• Hands-on API testing with REST/SOAP services using Postman or similar tools.
• Proficient in SQL/PL-SQL for backend data validation and data integrity checks.
• Experience with JIRA and test management plugins (Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, test planning, and defect lifecycle.
• Professional working proficiency in English to interact with international teams and clients.

Responsabilidades

• Test Planning & Execution: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases (functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing) within JIRA / Xray / Zephyr.
• API & Backend Validation: Perform robust API testing to validate payloads, endpoints, HTTP status codes, and backend service reliability.
• Database Verification: Write and execute complex SQL / PL-SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and data transformations.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects in JIRA, coordinating with developers toward resolution.
• Environment & Tool Navigation: Verify deployments and inspect backend environments using containerized and cloud platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Automation Roadmap (Desirable): Contribute to test automation strategy discussions for future sprints.
• Quality Assurance Standards: Ensure deliverables meet client quality standards and communicate QA status clearly to stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality, reliability, and performance of complex software solutions, working directly across API testing, web applications, and backend services.

You will design, execute, and document test scenarios, collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, and contribute to defect management and continuous process improvement throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements

Core Experience: 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance focusing on web applications, API testing, and backend services.

API Testing: Strong hands-on experience using Postman (or similar API testing tools) forREST/SOAP services, including automated collection execution and environment variables.

Database & SQL Skills: Proficient in SQL / PL-SQL queries for backend data validation, data integrity checks, and database manipulation.

Test Management Tools: Hands-on experience with JIRA and test management plugins (e.g., Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail).

Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, test planning, and defect lifecycle management.

Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken) to interact effectively with international teams and client stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

Defect Management: Identify, log, prioritize, and track software defects and inconsistencies in JIRA, working closely with developers toward resolution.

Environment & Tool Navigation: Utilize containerized and cloud platforms (such as OpenShift or Kubernetes) to check application logs, verify deployments, and inspect backend environments.

Automation Roadmap (Desirable): Collaborate with the engineering team to identify automation candidates and assist in defining test automation strategies for future sprints.

Quality Assurance Standards: Ensure all deliverables meet client quality standards, maintain accurate test execution reports, and communicate QA status effectively to stakeholders.
