GlobalLogic is seeking a QA Lead / QA Automation Lead to drive manual and automated testing across the SDLC for complex financial services integrations. You will mentor QA teams, define and implement a phased automation roadmap, and ensure release readiness through CI/CD integration and quality metrics.

Excellent English communication and stakeholder management are essential as you collaborate with challenging clients and global teams.

• Experience with CI/CD integration, test planning, defect management, release readiness, and quality metrics.
• Strong Root Cause Analysis skills for critical defects.

• Define and implement the overall QA and Test Automation Strategy, assess current test suites and determine reuse, enhancement, refactor, replacement, or new automation.
• Develop and maintain a phased automation roadmap, prioritizing tests based on risk, value, coverage, and maintainability.
• Plan and execute all testing activities: functional, integration, API, UI, end-to-end, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory.
• Lead the implementation and evolution of automated tests using Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor QA team members while remaining hands-on when required.
• Lead defect triage and Root Cause Analysis for critical defects.
• Communicate quality status, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders and the client with clear reports.
• Manage difficult stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and handle challenging conversations effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, automation, and product quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Lead / QA Automation Lead, leading and actively contributing to manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience managing and mentoring QA teams while remaining hands‑on with test execution.
• Strong understanding of QA practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience defining and executing functional, integration, API, UI, end‑to‑end, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
• Experience assessing, optimizing, and evolving existing test suites and automation frameworks, identifying what should be reused, refactored, replaced, or newly automated.
• Experience creating a comprehensive automation roadmap based on product risks, business priorities, existing test coverage, technical feasibility, and ROI.
• Experience with CI/CD integration, test planning, defect management, release readiness, and quality metrics.
• Strong Root Cause Analysis skills for critical defects.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with challenging clients.
