GlobalLogic Inc. in Argentina seeks a Lead QA Automation Engineer to drive quality strategy for an AI-first software project with a major US banking client.

You will lead automation standards, mentor the engineering team, and integrate AI tools into daily QA workflows. Responsibilities include in-sprint automation, scalable Playwright scripts in TypeScript, a POM-based framework, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in QA Automation, including proven experience leading QA initiatives or mentoring technical teams.
• Core Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Playwright using TypeScript.
• Architecture: Solid experience designing and scaling frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) pattern, custom fixtures, and reusable utility classes.
• CI/CD: Practical experience integrating automated tests with GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Test Management: Proficiency with Jira and modern test management tools, preferably AIO Tests.
• AI Tooling: Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate script generation, enhance debugging, and optimize test coverage.
• Leadership Capabilities: Strong cross-functional communication, decision-making, and team enablement skills.

Responsibilities

• In-Sprint Automation Execution: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust Playwright scripts, ensuring user stories are automated within the active sprint.
• AI-Driven Engineering: Implement and optimize AI tools to generate comprehensive test cases directly from acceptance criteria and conduct root-cause failure analysis.
• Framework Architecture: Maintain and scale structured automation frameworks, establishing reusable utilities, fixtures, and maintainable design patterns.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous delivery pipelines via GitHub Actions to deliver rapid feedback to dev teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Oversee test metrics, eliminate testing bottlenecks, and foster a culture of quality and technical excellence.
• Quality Leadership & Strategy: Define the overall QA strategy, establish automation standards, and lead quality engineering efforts across the project lifecycle.
• Team Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor and guide QA engineers on best practices in Playwright, TypeScript, clean code principles, and AI-assisted testing tools.
• Sprint & Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Development Leads to integrate testing early in the lifecycle and ensure in-sprint automation goals are met.
