Job summary

UBQ.io is seeking a Finance Developer to build an internal web platform supporting portfolio management for finance and operations teams. You will own features end-to-end, turning financial data into reliable tools and interfaces.

Work at the intersection of finance and technology, translating valuation, P&L attribution, NAV, exposure, and cost basis into well-tested backend logic with a focus on accuracy and performance.

Qualifications

• Solid professional experience with Python, including building backend services or data applications.
• Good understanding of financial concepts: P&L, NAV, exposure, cost basis.
• Ability to write non-trivial SQL, preferably on BigQuery or another cloud warehouse.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical reconciliation.
• Clear communication and ability to challenge and clarify requirements with finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain platform features for portfolio management, including dashboards and data visualisations.
• Translate financial methodologies into backend logic and ensure accuracy against source systems.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for cloud data warehouse.
• Ensure performance and reliability through caching and error handling.
• Collaborate with finance and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver improvements.
