Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform. This role is responsible for planning, execution oversight, stakeholder communication, risk management, and delivery governance across one or more migration workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project management for IBM Z software migration projects and coordinate multiple technical workstreams as required.
• Define project scope, develop plans and timelines, manage resources, and track execution against milestones and deliverables.
• Report status, scope changes, risks, challenges, and requirements to leadership and stakeholders.
• Apply planning, tracking, change control, and risk management practices to support successful delivery.
• Support vendor coordination and alignment of workstreams to business objectives.

Mandatory Skills And Experience

• Strong technical project management experience, ideally in software migration or IBM Z environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional technical teams with responsibility for scope, cost, schedule, risk, and contractual deliverables.
• Experience leading or supporting migration programs that replace competitive / ISV tools with IBM solutions across the IBM Z estate.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies and IBM Z software environments.
• Ability to assess migration impact on existing processes and support structured change management practices.

Preferred / Additional Skills

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• Experience with mainframe application development technologies such as COBOL or PL/I.
