Job summary

Tether seeks a Product Engineering Lead for Keet, a 100% remote, worldwide messaging solution built on Holepunch's P2P stack. You will direct API and frontend teams, report to the CTO, and balance engineering leadership with product input.

You’ll enable distributed, local-first systems, ship consumer-grade features at scale, and partner with PMs to drive the roadmap. You’ll mentor leads, set high engineering standards, and ensure fast, reliable delivery while embracing AI tools for rapid

Qualifications

Experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer products, ideally in chat, calling, or social apps.
Strong product sense and ability to partner with PMs as an equal.
Intuition for distributed, local-first systems with offline-first behavior.
Deep knowledge of JavaScript and React.

Responsibilities

Run the API and frontend teams day to day: unblocking, reviewing, and shipping.
Set and uphold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.
Own the technical design of features and the API surface between Keet's core and the app.
Collaborate with deep tech teams on code reviews and engine touches.
Turn vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work with product managers.
Provide engineering perspective on product decisions, especially for P2P opportunities.
Mentor team leads to improve operating systems and leadership.
