Tether is seeking a Product Engineering Lead for Keet, a fully peer-to-peer messaging app. The role leads the API and frontend teams, reporting to the CTO, with 70% engineering leadership and 30% product collaboration in a globally remote setup.

You will partner with product managers to define features, ensure high engineering standards, and bring a strong product sensibility to distributed, local-first systems. Global, remote work is supported.

Aufgaben

• Run the API and frontend teams day to day: unblock, review, ship.
• Set and maintain a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and APIs.
• Own the technical design of features and the API surface between Keet's core and the app.
• Ensure API team collaborates with deep tech teams on code reviews, design, and engine touches.
• Work with product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped work.
• Push back on scope when reality doesn't match and propose better paths.
• Lead by example and mentor team leads to improve operating systems.
