Descripción del empleo

The Legal Supplier Management Associate Director is a full-time position in Accenture Procurement who will be responsible for running our internal Outside Counsel management capability and potentially acting as subject matter expert supporting our Outside Counsel Spend Management client service offering. It involves day-to-day oversight of the Procurement Legal Category team on the internal side as well as potentially supporting the development of the go-to market offering.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and ambitious executive to join our Procurement team and help to shape the future of our offerings as we expand our footprint in the dynamic sectors of legal transformation. We are looking for an experienced individual with demonstrated Indirect Procurement expertise in the Professional Services categories. Hands on experience in the Legal sub-category of Professional Services and/or experience in consulting are a definite asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Legal Category Program Management

  • Oversight of all aspects of strategic sourcing of law firms, legal staffing agencies and alternative legal service providers,

  • Management of engagement letters with law firms and service agreements with other legal suppliers,

  • Oversight of competitive bidding of key matters,

  • Coordinating the monthly Outside Counsel Steering Committee and law firm relationship management,

  • Collaborating with the Accenture Legal Operations team,

  • Overseeing the team that manages the invoicing and payments of suppliers to the Legal Corporate Function,

  • Managing monthly accruals of Legal suppliers,

  • Tracking and reporting.

Support of the Development of Go to Market

As requested by the client offering team, assist with one or more of the following:

  • Develop and execute against a new legal service offering and originate, qualify, and close new opportunities for Accenture with our clients

  • Evaluate opportunities for clients to improve and transform their vendor or supplier management processes and work with senior client stakeholders to develop value-based solutions to address their needs

  • Oversee of aspects of client delivery including: development of delivery plan and client governance processes; strategic sourcing of law firms, legal staffing agencies and alternative legal service providers; executing competitive bidding strategies and platforms; and managing supplier contracting, onboarding, invoicing, and payments.

  • Executing measurement and reporting plans to evaluate program effectiveness in reducing client spend.

  • Build and manage talent for the practice to deliver against client contracts.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Completed university degree (Business Administration is preferred).

Work Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience working in an outsourced or corporate Procurement department overseeing the sourcing, payment and relationship management of professional services suppliers ,

  • Not essential but experience in one or more of the following is a plus:

    • hands on experience in the Procurement Legal Category managing law firms

    • working in a Law firm or inhouse Legal department,

    • knowledge of and experience working with Legal ebilling tools and other Legal specific technology,

    • financial analysis and reporting,

    • experience as a consultant (ideally in a Procurement client facing role).

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Fluent in English. Fluency in other languages is a plus.

  • Work in a team environment and collaborate with others.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.

  • Responsive and follows through on commitments.

  • Initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to spot problem areas and propose solutions.

Relationships:

Reports to: Manager Director of Procurement.

Internal Relationships: Legal Operations, Legal Executive, Accounts Payable, Finance, Legal Technology, Corporate Information Security, Legal Professionals worldwide.

External Relationships: Law Firms, Legal Staffing Agencies, other suppliers including Legal technology tool companies.
