The Privacy Manager will play a key role in Korn Ferry’s privacy operations. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities designed to ensure the organizations compliance with privacy laws and leading practices.

Responsibilities include managing and contributing to privacy program initiatives including but not limited to: Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), creating and measuring impact of privacy training materials, input into AI frameworks, risk assessment and management, and audit support.

This position requires effective collaboration with numerous internal teams, including IT, Product, Digital, Engineering, Security, and Client Support. Additionally, the role involves interaction with external vendors, clients, and auditors to ensure comprehensive privacy management. The ideal candidate will be process-oriented and creative, with the ability to rapidly understand Korn Ferry’s products, services, and systems, especially regarding the processing of personal information. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this matrixed, global organisation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Privacy Impact Assessments
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to identify and mitigate risks associated with personal data processing. Where necessary, pass on or conduct related legal analysis to ensure compliance and address complex privacy issues.
AI Framework and Technology Integration
  • Provide input into AI frameworks that impact compliance, privacy and data protection across the organisation.
  • Enhance privacy processes through the utilisation of technology, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Privacy Risk Assessment and Compliance
  • Compile and process privacy risks from a variety of internal and external sources, ensuring appropriate escalation for assessment within the Privacy Risk Program.
  • Complete privacy compliance assessment questionnaires and lead remediation efforts as needed
  • Produce and update evidence required for submission to support audits, including ISO 27701, ISO 27018, client, or other required audits.
Policy, Training, and Preference Management
  • Maintain privacy policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and reflect evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and update privacy training materials for use across various platforms.
Data Subject Request and Privacy Mailbox Management
  • Handle Data Subject Requests (DSRs), Do Not Sell Requests (DNS), and Unsubscribe requests when covering the Privacy mailbox.
Continuous Improvement and Program Development
  • Identify areas for privacy program improvement and provide thoughtful, practical solutions for leadership consideration.
  • Support ongoing improvement of the global privacy program through proactive assessment and implementation of leading practices.
  • Contribute to development and management of privacy analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and procedural guidance.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Korn Ferry’s products, technology, data processing, cross-border data transfers, privacy, and security policies.
Additional Duties
  • Fulfil other responsibilities as required to support privacy operations and ensure the organisation’s continued compliance and effective privacy management.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of global privacy regulations, ISO standards, and NIST frameworks resulting in ensuring that emerging technologies and processes align with regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AI standards, and frameworks
  • At least 4 years of experience in privacy operations, auditing, or a related area
  • Direct involvement in AI governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring that emerging technologies align with regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements
  • Proven ability in creating privacy training collateral for LMS, Intranet or workshops
  • Expertise in leveraging technology related to privacy, data security, or policy issues
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously and consistently meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, and SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Co-Pilot
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a desire to engage colleagues, management, and clients effectively
  • Experience with One Trust, Trust Arc, or similar is a plus
  • Privacy certifications from IAPP, ISACA, or equivalent is beneficial
  • IT or business analyst experience is highly desirable, providing a strong foundation for supporting privacy operations and compliance activities
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
