AgileEngine, based in Buenos Aires, is seeking a part‑time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in advisory capacity. Mentors the team on engineering standards and evaluates AI‑assisted development workflows.

Strong communicator needed for 50% then 25% advisory work. The role focuses on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, data engineering practices, and setting technical direction for changes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS Postgres, S3, SageMaker, VPC, IAM).
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
• Experience designing/auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code) for quality and cost governance.
• Comfortable in a part-time advisory capacity (50% down to 25%), with mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Audit the current AWS architecture across live applications and components.
• Review the CI/CD process and end-to-end app development lifecycle, recommending governance layers.
• Evaluate use of Claude Code for output quality and cost management.
• Provide an early technical opinion on ETL/data ingestion architecture.
• Mentor and accelerate the day-to-day infrastructure build team, focusing on AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and data practices.
• Set recommendations and technical direction for necessary build changes.
• Report findings and recommendations to leadership with risk and readiness framing.
