Chevron is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support Latin America Joint Venture operations within the Upstream Latin America organization. The position is responsible for financial reporting, accounting analysis, and compliance activities.
The role requires solid technical accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Chevron policies.
+ Support Joint Venture accounting and reporting activities, including coordination with affiliates and business partners.
+ Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
+ Perform financial and operational variance analyses and communicate key business drivers.
+ Maintain the accuracy of account reconciliations and financial records.
+ Research and analyze technical accounting matters and support implementation of accounting guidance.
+ Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
+ Support compliance with SOX controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Planning, Operations, and other organizations.
+ Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency through automation.
**Requirements:**
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA or equivalent) - mandatory.
+ Proven experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements (5+ years) - mandatory.
+ Oil & Gas industry experience - mandatory.
+ Strong knowledge of international accounting standards - mandatory.
+ Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) - mandatory.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
