• Strong interpreting skills, including consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
• Experience in Medical Interpretation with clinical terminology.
• Proficient in Translation and broader language services.
• Native or near-native Spanish with excellent command of at least one other language, preferably English.
• Prior on-site interpreter experience in clinical, corporate, or community settings.
• Knowledge of cultural sensitivities and ethics, with confidentiality and impartiality.
• Relevant certification in interpretation or translation, or a degree in languages, linguistics, or related field.

Role Description

This full-time On-Site Spanish Interpreter role is based in Greater Buenos Aires and focuses on facilitating clear and accurate communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and other language speakers. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in various settings, ensuring messages are conveyed faithfully while respecting cultural nuances. The interpreter will support medical, business, and community interactions as needed, and may assist with written translation of documents or materials related to assignments. The role also involves preparing for interpreting sessions by reviewing relevant terminology, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure effective language support. On-site presence is required to support in-person meetings, appointments, and events.

Qualifications

• Strong interpreting skills, including Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpretation, with the ability to convey meaning accurately and efficiently.
• Experience in Medical Interpretation, with familiarity in medical terminology and patient-centered communication.
• Competence in Translation and broader Language Services to support written and spoken communication needs.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and excellent command of at least one other language, preferably English.
• Prior experience as an on-site interpreter in clinical, corporate, or community settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cultural sensitivities and ethics, with a commitment to confidentiality and impartiality.
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments.
• Relevant certification in interpretation or translation, or a degree in languages, linguistics, or a related field is an asset.
