Job summary

Monks is seeking a Networking professional to manage Internet, LAN, VPNs, Firewalls, and Wi‑Fi for LATAM sites. You will handle network asset administration, plan changes, and drive automation to reduce manual work.

This role requires Fortinet NSE knowledge, DNS/DHCP/Routing expertise, and strong troubleshooting skills. Fluency in English and a solid Linux understanding are essential as you monitor network performance, document processes, and collaborate across the Media.Monks group.

Qualifications

• Intermediate Linux experience; understand why Linux works.
• Strong network troubleshooting skills and documentation abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and share knowledge with teammates.

Now, about the opportunity: In the Networking position, you’ll manage networking activities (Internet, LAN, dynamic routing, VPNs, Firewalls, Wi‑Fi etc.) for Media.Monks sites in LATAM

Key Responsibilities

• You’ll be in charge of the administration of network assets
• You’ll handle the preparation and deployment of network changes
• You’ll automate the operational and maintenance work as much as possible
• You’ll monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services

Background & Skills

• Relevant certifications on network and firewall technology and solutions with a high preference for Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 7 etc.
• Deep knowledge on DNS, DHCP, Routing and Routed Protocols (OSPF, BGP)
• Epic network troubleshooting skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Zabbix preferred)
• Security knowledge
• Ability to learn quickly and share knowledge
• You’re Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Intermediate Linux experience. Know why things work on a Linux system -- not just how to configure them
