Formación

• High School Diploma and a Trade School diploma or 10 years Military or Commercial shipyard experience aboard ship as Chief Electrician or Shipyard Electrician.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Marine Electrical experience/ background with ship-based power generation and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of 3 phase power, generation, distribution, motors and generators.
• Ability to work with low voltage DC alarm and lighting systems and control systems.
• Fully capable of repairing 480 VAC 3 phase, 220 & 115 VAC, 24 & 12 VDC power systems aboard AUTEC vessels.
• Capable of using test equipment to assess circuitry and perform repairs.
• Must reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
• Valid passport and driver’s license required.
• Secret U.S. Government Clearance eligibility noted (citizenship required).

Responsabilidades

• Performs duties of Marine Electrician.
• Installs new cabling aboard ship.
• Trouble shoots and repairs electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, generation, lighting, and alarms.
• Operates from Marine Electric Shop maintaining records and receiving materials.
• Maintains shop inventory and spares on site.
• Supervises one indigenous electrical helper.
• Assigns tasks and ensures timely completion per standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
