Amentum on Andros Island, Bahamas, seeks a Laundry Specialist/Dry Cleaner to support the AUTEC mission. Bahamian citizenship is required for this Bahamian-only posting.

The role involves cleaning, drying, dry-cleaning, dyeing, pressing, and preparing clothes and linens for delivery, while maintaining inventory of laundry supplies and equipment. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, report damages, and follow safety and instruction publications.

Responsabilidades

• Keep inventory of laundry materials, supplies and machines.
• Report and track damage, broken items and malfunctions in laundry area.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Receive, wash, dry, dry-clean, dye, press and prepare for delivery of clothes and linens.
• Remove stains from items as needed.
• Be organized and track all items entering and leaving the laundry area.
• Use tools or machines to fit, cut, sew, rivet and attach findings to articles.
• Familiar with cleaning products like bleach, detergent, softener.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Amentum is seeking a Laundry Specialist/Dry Cleaner to join our teamon Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas. This position is reserved for Bahamian Citizens only.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Keeping inventory of laundry materials, supplies and machines
• Must be able to report and track damage, broken and malfunctions within the laundry area.
• Must be able to stand for long period of time.
• Receive, sort, wash, dry, dry-clean, dye, press, and prepare for delivery of clothes and linens.
• Must be able to remove stain from items as need be using appropriate method.
• Must be organized.
• Must be able to keep track of all items coming in and going out of laundry area.
• Use tools or machines and other devices to fit, cut, sew, rivet, assemble, and attach findings to articles such as belts, shirts, bags, pants, and hats.
• Must be familiar with cleaning products like bleach, laundry detergent, softener, etc.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
