Amentum is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician III to support AUTEC on Andros Island, Bahamas. Must be able to obtain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance and reside in a remote location.

The role requires extensive experience with Category 1 mobile cranes, diesel equipment, and related mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, parts procurement, manuals reference, and coordination with suppliers.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must obtain Class A CDL within 1 year of hire.
• Manufacturer or Military-specific training (Cummins, International, EVT, etc.).
• 15+ years related experience in mechanical evaluation and repair.
• 10+ years directly related experience with Category 1 mobile crane repair.
• Must obtain NCC Mobile Crane Mechanic certifications within 3 months of hire.
• Excellent mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer’s publications, schematics and parts manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in all kinds of weather, including extreme heat.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
• Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license will be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive, diagnostic and corrective maintenance on Category 1 mobile cranes and various heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system failures.
• Identify required repair parts and submit procurement requests.
• Record and document maintenance activities.
• Read and understand manufacturers shop manuals.
• Communicate with suppliers occasionally.
• Safeguard and lock up issued Government tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
