The Work You'll Do

As a Software Engineer III at Sovos, you'll be at the forefront of creating innovative solutions that transform how businesses navigate complex compliance landscapes worldwide. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge software that solves real business challenges faced by thousands of companies, including half the Fortune 500.

More specifically, you will:

• Build collaborative partnerships within your Scrum Team while serving as a technical advisor to Product Managers, translating business requirements into elegant technical solutions
• Champion a culture of code quality, continuous learning, and growth throughout the department while conducting peer code reviews that ensure excellence
• Apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to create intuitive user interfaces and robust programming solutions that deliver exceptional value to our clients
• Work closely with cross-functional team members including UX/UI designers, QA testers, and DBAs to solve complex problems and create seamless integrated solutions
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from conception through deployment—while following and improving the team's Continuous Development and Integration practices

Qualifications

What We Need From You

• 5+ years of proven success in software engineering using .NET development and web application technology, with expertise in full stack ASP.NET MVC web development
• Proficiency with Visual Studio, .NET, and C#, along with web front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, XML, JSON, and Ajax
• Strong back-end experience including WCF, SOAP/REST APIs, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, and Transact-SQL, with the ability to create and modify SQL schemas
• Experience with Git/GitHub version control and working knowledge of IIS configuration for websites and applications
• Self-motivation and ability to manage time and projects effectively in a remote working environment, with comfort working in an Agile development process
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
