BairesDev is seeking a Lead AI Engineer (Python) to guide the technical direction and implementation of advanced AI solutions. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design production‑grade applications using cutting‑edge retrieval and modeling architectures.

You will lead scalable AI systems, build robust APIs, and establish production‑grade practices for deployment and observability. This is a 100% remote role with competitive USD compensation and global opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software/AI engineering.
• Experience building and optimizing RAG systems (vector stores, retrieval, embeddings).
• Strong Python proficiency and async API development (FastAPI, Pydantic, async SQLAlchemy).
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM APIs in production and MLOps practices (model registry, observability).
• Experience mentoring teams and aligning with stakeholders.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high‑performance AI systems and data retrieval pipelines.
• Build robust APIs to expose AI capabilities to enterprise applications.
• Establish best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining intelligent services in production.
