Job summary

Revolut Ltd is seeking a Head of Internal Auditor to lead risk-based audits across Peruvian entity operations, spanning technology, payments, and third‑party risk management. You will provide governance assurance, strengthen control frameworks, and drive high standards of risk management across the region.

The role requires extensive audit leadership, strong communication with executive leadership and the board, and familiarity with Peru regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in an audit-related role in a regulated financial services environment.
• Experience performing end-to-end risk-based internal audits.
• Experience leading teams and overseeing the execution of internal audits.
• Expertise in risk assessments and internal audit planning activities, focusing on key risks.
• Great presentation skills to deliver audit results to senior management and board-level stakeholders.
• Knowledge of global regulatory guidelines and expectations for operations in Peru.
• Familiarity with audit topics such as financial crime, payments, and third-party risk management.
• Nice to have: audit experience at a foreign financial institution operating in Peru; SQL/Python data interpretation; fast-paced execution; CPA/CIA/ACAMS or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments to develop and maintain the risk-based audit plan, prioritising Peruvian-focused internal audits.
• Execute internal audits on key areas of risk, aligned with global audit methodology.
• Utilise data to inform risk understanding, test controls, and provide insights to the business.
• Present audit results to senior management and the Board.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders including CEO, CRO, CCO, and Peru entity teams.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries regarding internal audit coverage and results.
• Oversee, review, and validate management actions.

About the role

Our Audit team is critical to our business. They work closely with Risk and Compliance to create internal risk management and compliance processes, and make sure they’re running efficiently.

We’re looking for a motivated Head of Internal Auditor with experience auditing Peruvian entity operations, such as technology, payments, operational resilience, and third-party risk management.

You’ll play a key role in providing assurance over governance and control frameworks, assisting the company achieve its strategic goals, and delivering more value to customers.

What you'll be doing

• Performing risk assessments to develop and maintain the risk-based audit plan, including managing the prioritisation of Peruvian-focused internal audits
• Executing internal audits on key areas of risk, aligned with global audit methodology
• Making the best use of data to inform our understanding of risks, test controls, and provide relevant insights to the business
• Presenting audit results to senior management and the Board
• Owning relationships with key stakeholders, such as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and operational members of entities in Peru
• Responding to regulatory inquiries regarding internal audit coverage and results
• Performing oversight, review, and validation of management actions

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in an audit-related role in a regulated financial services environment
• Experience performing end-to-end risk-based internal audits
• Experience leading teams and overseeing the execution of internal audits
• Expertise in risk assessments and internal audit planning activities, focusing on covering key risks
• Great presentation skills to deliver audit results to senior management and board-level stakeholders
• Knowledge of global regulatory guidelines and expectations for operations in Peru
• Familiarity with a range of audit topics, such as financial crime, payments, and third-party risk management
• Excellent communication skills to interact and challenge stakeholders

Nice to have

• Audit experience at a foreign financial institution operating in Peru
• Expertise in both working with and interpreting data using SQL and/or Python
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on execution
• A CPA/CIA, ACAMS, or other relevant certification
