Job summary

Promtior is seeking a Data Lead to head the Data team within Engineering. This hands-on leadership role involves setting the technical direction for data engineering and data science across client projects, growing the team, and staying close to code to review designs and unblock production issues.

You will define the team’s standards for data modeling, CI/CD, testing, and governance, and partner with clients to translate business problems into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering/architecture/science with leadership exposure.
• End-to-end ownership of production data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake and Lakehouse architectures.
• Strong Python and SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Data modeling and Data Warehousing expertise.
• ETL/ELT design with orchestration tools (Airflow/dbt).
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience supporting AI/ML data for production use cases.
• Hiring, mentoring, and code/design reviews for data teams.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced English level.

Responsibilities

• Define the data team's technical vision, standards, and ways of working.
• Own the architecture of data platforms from ingestion to analytics and AI/ML readiness.
• Set engineering standards for data modeling, CI/CD, quality, observability, and governance.
• Collaborate with clients, PMs, and AI/ML teams to translate business problems into data solutions.
• Oversee delivery quality, incidents, and root-cause analysis across projects.
• Hire and mentor data engineers/scientists and drive career development.
• Shape use of AI tools to accelerate data discovery and documentation.
