EPAM Systems is seeking a skilled Golang Developer to build and support Go microservices powering live event management, media processing, and edge-caching solutions. You will work on cloud-native architectures, distributed systems and Go services across Google Cloud Platform.

The role requires strong backend fundamentals, experience with Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and event-driven architectures, and an interest in solving media and streaming challenges at scale.

Formación

• 3+ years of backend development experience, with 2+ years in Go
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns and context-aware programming
• Experience designing APIs with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, RESTful services
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud APIs for backend integrations
• Solid fundamentals in reliability and performance
• English level at least B1+ for collaboration and communication

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain Go microservices using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and grpc-gateway
• Support live event lifecycle management and media workflow operations
• Improve hybrid media-cache services connecting on-prem files with Cloud Storage
• Contribute to API design, protobuf schemas, and deployments under guidance
• Build event-driven services with Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Functions, and Workflows
• Integrate services with Google Cloud media APIs (Live Stream, Transcoder)
• Write unit, integration, and load tests for core workflows
• Improve observability, monitoring, and performance of services
• Collaborate with DevOps on Kubernetes deployments, Helm, Terraform, and GKE rollouts
• Participate in design and code reviews for services

We are looking for a skilled Golang Developer to help build and support the services powering live event management, media processing, asset distribution, and hybrid edge-caching solutions. You will work on Go microservices, cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems that support media workflows.

This role requires solid backend engineering fundamentals, working experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures, and an interest in learning how to solve complex media and streaming challenges at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Go microservices using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and grpc-gateway
• Contribute to backend services that support live event lifecycle management and media workflow operations
• Support and improve hybrid media-cache services that connect on-prem file systems with Google Cloud Storage
• Implement features under the guidance of senior engineers, from API design and protobuf schemas to deployment
• Build and maintain event-driven services with Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Workflows
• Integrate services with Google Cloud media APIs, including Live Stream API, Transcoder API, Video Intelligence, and Vision AI
• Write unit, integration, and load tests to protect core workflows
• Help improve observability, monitoring, and performance of existing services
• Work with DevOps on Kubernetes deployments, Helm, Terraform, and GKE rollouts
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews for services you contribute to

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience, including 2+ years building services in Go
• Good understanding of Go concurrency patterns, context-aware programming, error handling, and graceful shutdown
• Practical API design skills with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, grpc-gateway, and RESTful services
• Working experience with cloud platforms and cloud APIs for backend integrations
• Solid backend engineering fundamentals with awareness of service reliability and performance best practices
• Minimum English language level of B1+ for collaboration and technical communication

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
• Familiarity with Google AIP API design conventions
• Exposure to Istio or service mesh configurations
