Base pay range

$10,000.00/yr - $52,800.00/yr

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled GCP Backend / Cloud Engineer to join our fast-moving, cross-functional engineering squads. The ideal candidate has deep hands‑on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), strong backend development skills in Python, and the ability to design, build, and optimize cloud‑native solutions in a dynamic, high‑velocity environment. This role requires strong communication skills, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate within mixed teams while quickly adapting to new projects and evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services and cloud‑native applications on Google Cloud Platform
• Build and maintain scalable architectures using Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and other GCP services
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested Python code for backend systems and cloud integrations
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high code quality and continuous deployment reliability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional squads, including frontend, product, DevOps, and data teams, to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
• Monitor system performance, perform debugging, and optimize cloud resources for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
• Adapt quickly between projects and contribute to both ongoing initiatives and new technical challenges
• Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical teammates, ensuring clarity, alignment, and transparency
