Job summary

Compassion International in Peru seeks a Front-End Web Developer (Developer III) to build, test, and maintain scalable web applications across our global user base. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with US, Brazil and Latin America teams, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements include 5+ years in full-stack web development, PHP/Laravel, APIs, databases, and strong English and Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Experience with PHP/Laravel, APIs, databases, and backend technologies.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining ownership of delivered solutions.
• Experience mentoring or coaching other developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, deploy, document, and maintain software applications across the full technology stack (frontend, backend, database, server).
• Own features end-to-end from requirements to delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the US, Brazil, and Latin America.
• Mentor and coach other developers through code reviews and problem-solving.
• Ensure quality, security, and alignment with business objectives, including safeguarding considerations.
