Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced data privacy lawyer to join the Global Delivery Services team supporting the General Counsel’s Office. You will guide legal aspects of global data protection incidents and collaborate with Global Lead Counsel – Data Incident Response to strengthen the incident response program.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of relevant post-qualification experience, strong GDPR knowledge, and proven cross-border collaboration across Information Security, Risk Management and GC teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified lawyer with a strong academic record.
• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in a multinational setting.
• Excellent English communication and cross-border incident experience.
• Strong knowledge of EU/international data protection laws, especially GDPR.
• Effective stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal oversight on global data protection incidents across jurisdictions.
• Support management of complex data incidents with senior counsel.
• Coordinate with Information Security, Risk Management and GC teams.
• Develop data incident tracking, reporting, metrics and risk analyses.
• Contribute to the ongoing data incident response framework and governance.
• Oversee onboarding, capability building and career development.
• Manage workload, SLAs, and stakeholder expectations.
