Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced lawyer to join the Global Delivery Services (GDS) team supporting the General Counsel’s Office. You will advise on data privacy matters and lead cross-border incident response efforts, collaborating with Global Lead Counsel, Information Security, and risk and GC teams worldwide.

The role requires strong legal judgment, exceptional English communication, and the ability to manage high workloads in a complex global organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with consistent strong academic record.
• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a multinational corporate.
• Demonstrated experience advising on data protection, privacy incidents, and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal oversight on global data protection incidents ensuring EY policies and laws are followed.
• Support management of data incidents and coordination with Global Lead Counsel and privacy leadership.
• Coordinate with Information Security, Risk Management, and GC teams across jurisdictions for consistent incident handling.
• Develop metrics, reporting, and oversight of data incident responses and risk management.
• Contribute to the global data incident response framework, policies, and governance processes.
