Job summary

Goodyear Peru is seeking an Accounting Leader to ensure timely financial close, robust reporting, and strong internal controls across US GAAP and local GAAP. You will interface with internal/external audits, supervise intercompany and accounts payable, and drive process improvements using SAP.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep IFRS/GAAP expertise to support regional Controllership objectives and business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting.
• Advance or Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Master degree or certification in Finance is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible accounting/analysis experience in multinationals.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think outside the box.
• People management skills and coachability.
• Track record of achieving measurable business objectives.
• Thorough understanding of IFRS and US GAAP with SOX control compliance.
• Strong ERP/IT familiarity (SAP preferred) and MS Office proficiency.
• Consulting mindset to translate ideas into plans.
• Interpersonal skills for credible stakeholder relationships.
• Team leadership that drives objective execution.
• Understanding of how accounting decisions affect business units and cash flow.
• Knowledge in consolidation processes.
• Knowledge in factory, supply chain and logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the financial reporting processes accurate and timely. This includes monthly, quarterly and annual financial close procedures, account reconciliations, and establishing judgmental reserve balances.
• Ensure processes are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and Company Policies. Accomplish with SOX requirements.
• Support on audit activities with internal and external auditors.
• Supervise Intercompany and Accounts Payable Transactions.
• Provide timely and accurate account analysis and reporting.
• Analyze accounts under responsibility explaining deviations or pending items.
• Responsible for the upkeep and upgrades of the accounting systems and for accounting initiatives.
• Maintain accounting entries aligned with company policies and local requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to finance processes and systems.
• Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other avenues.
• Maintain effective communication and relationship with local and regional leadership team.
