Intriq seeks a senior full-stack engineer to build across the stack, from Next.js frontends to FastAPI backends and Postgres storage. You will design and harden async workflows, oversee data pipelines, and own infrastructure automation from Terraform to CloudWatch.

ABOUT INTRIQ

Intriq turns a client's disorganised data room into deal-ready insight. We build the platform that lets accounting and audit teams process financial documents at machine speed without losing the rigour a human review demands. Every output is derived solely from the client's own data, nothing external.

THE ROLE

You will build the platform that does it, from the React workspace auditors touch every day, down through the async Python pipelines that read and reason over financial documents.

You will work across three repositories: QNextDash (frontend), QInsights (API and pipeline backend) and QCLI (internal tooling), shipping features end to end rather than staying on one side of a spec.

This is not a maintenance role. You will be one of the first engineers shaping how the async document pipeline, the API contracts and the infrastructure scale as we take on larger clients and heavier document volumes.

WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO

• Build across the stack. A Next.js workspace view one week, the FastAPI endpoint and Postgres schema behind it the next.


• Design and harden async workflows: document ingestion, markdown conversion, LLM-based extraction and multi-step review pipelines that stay correct under concurrency and partial failure.


• Own services from Terraform up. Provision the Fargate task or Lambda, wire the CI/CD pipeline, and watch it in CloudWatch once it is live.


• Work directly with data. Shape Postgres schemas, write the queries behind reporting and audit trails, and keep every pipeline output traceable back to its source document.


• Make architecture calls with the founding team. At this size, the person who writes the code decides how it is structured.

THE STACK

Frontend: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, TanStack Query, Zustand, Tailwind

API and pipeline: FastAPI, Pydantic v2, asyncpg, PostgreSQL 17, AWS Lambda, Bedrock and Claude

Infrastructure: AWS Fargate, AWS Lambda, Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, CloudWatch, Cognito

WHAT WE NEED

• Proven full-stack experience. Comfortable moving from a React and TypeScript interface to a Python API to the database underneath, not fluent in one layer only.


• Strong TypeScript and Python, with FastAPI or a comparable async Python framework in production.


• Real experience designing async workflows and APIs. You can reason about concurrency, retries and partial failure, not just the happy path.


• Solid PostgreSQL. Schema design, query performance and migrations, not an ORM you have never looked past.


• Working knowledge of microservices and the trade-offs of splitting against consolidating services.


• Some data engineering or ML exposure. Building or consuming data pipelines, working with LLM-based extraction, or shipping features that depend on model output.


• DevOps fluency. CI/CD and AWS in practice: Fargate, Lambda, Terraform. You ship your own infrastructure changes rather than handing them off.


• Startup pace, said plainly: small team, direct ownership, fast iteration, decisions made by whoever is closest to the problem. You will ship in your first week and own real production surface within your first month.

USEFUL, NOT ESSENTIAL

• Experience in fintech, audit or accounting software, where correctness and traceability matter as much as speed.


• Exposure to security and compliance for AI systems, and familiarity with compliance tooling such as Sprinto. Intriq is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified, and the standard shapes how we build.


• Spanish and English both used day to day. Portuguese is a bonus.

HOW WE WORK

• Remote, based in Argentina. The team is distributed and works to US hours, so expect a US calendar and overlap with the US working day.


• Small by design. A handful of engineers, no layers between you and the founders.


• Secure by default. Client data stays in the client's own environment. No cross-client model training. US-hosted models only.

THE PROCESS

Three conversations: an intro, a live coding interview with the engineering team, and an architecture discussion with the founding team. We read every application and aim to run the process inside two weeks. If you have not heard from us within two weeks, please take it as a no.
