The position involves reviewing reports, performing cost benchmarking, and developing data-driven insights with Excel, PowerPoint, and Claude/AI tools.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is required.
• Strong ability to understand, manage and analyze public financial statements.

Job Summary:

The Research Analyst will work with members of the Value Creation team of one of our clients, a Global Private Equity Firm based in New York City. They will support the team across a variety of Operational Efficiency projects. This position will emphasize the opportunity to collaborate extensively with the team in a fast-paced and global work environment. The Research Analyst will learn and apply key skills across both (1) due diligence of prospective investments (operational benchmarking, organizational analysis), and (2) portfolio company value creation (including but not limited to cost analysis, organizational analysis and growth strategy)

Main Responsibilities:

• Review annual company reports and company financial information to rapidly evaluatecompany’s operational efficiency, business model and strategy
• Perform public and private company cost benchmarking (e.g. looking at P&L lines like COGS+ OPEX) using Excel/Claude and summarize key findings into client-ready work products(typically PPT)
• Research efficiency benchmarks (like salary benchmarking, cost allocations, best in classpractices etc.) for portfolio companies
• Prepare detailed analysis and presentations to end to end (draft, do analysis, revise) toprovide actionable insights and guidance
• Create Claude skills to make analysis quicker, more insightful and accurate
• Develop financial business case to support changes to organizational structure to improveefficiency and effectiveness.
• Organize large amounts of data from various sources to create a cohesive database
• Research and create case studies for best in class examples

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Admin., Accounting,Organizational Studies, Engineering, Operations, and/or Computer Science)
• 1–2 years of professional experience in finance-exposed roles (e.g. consulting, banking,accounting, equity research, strategy, finance, operations) required. Strong ability tounderstand, manage and analyze public financial statements, specifically profit and loss (P&L)reports.
• Exceptional attention to detail and methodical approach to performing analysis.
• Methodological approach to performing analysis.
• Exceptional communication with key stakeholders.
• Excellent command of both spoken & written English is a minimum.
• Proactive and curious in everything they do.
• Willing to go the extra mile if needed
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Claude/AI tools
• Excellent command in Microsoft Powerpoint is a plus
• Experience with DataScience/coding is a plus
