Job summary

Maxit Consulting - Max Corporate Group seeks a Field Specialist - Mechanical Gas/Steam Turbine and Compressors to perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair and calibration post-installation.

You will lead foundation and soft foot checks, equipment installation and alignment, and independent inspections while building strong customer relationships and ensuring safety, timely delivery and quality across sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical degree.
• Active CREA or CFT license.
• Minimum 5 years in turbomachinery (gas/steam/heavy duty turbines) or equivalent in compressors.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Baker Hughes equipment, site operations and commissioning.
• Strong analytic, problem-solving, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership with good listening and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform foundation and soft foot checks and adjustments.
• Lead assembly/installation and alignment of equipment.
• Lead independent inspection of the equipment.
• Maintain relationships with customers and BH during site work.
• Drive safety, on-time delivery, productivity, quality and cost goals.
• Provide field engineering services as needed to serve customers.
• Support emergent customer needs and root-cause analysis.
