As part of our EY Assurance Team, the individual will work closely with Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Assistant Managers, Managers, and Senior Managers on client engagements across the Americas and EMEIA regions.

The opportunity

We are seeking a candidate capable of providing advisory services, including:

• Accounting and regulatory support for GAAP conversion and implementation;
• IPO and other public offering assistance;
• Transaction accounting and financial reporting support (e.g., purchase price allocation, divestiture accounting).

The candidate should also be able to advise on accounting changes, special matters, processes, and controls support, including remediation, long-term contract accounting, and cost accounting.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage quality of service delivery.
• Execute FAAS solutions using the global service delivery framework, including:
• Accounting and PMO support for transactions such as purchase price accounting, divestitures, IPOs, SPACs, and bankruptcy accounting.
• Preparation of financial statements and MD&A.
• GAAP conversion.
• Accounting policy and governance.
• Accounting processes.

Ensure quality in client service by directing daily fieldwork, managing expectations, and addressing client requests promptly. Identify engagement issues, benchmark data, and communicate critical success factors to the team. Receive guidance from Managers and Senior Managers.

Skills and attributes for success

• Good understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and Indian accounting standards.
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to research client inquiries, regulations, industry practices, and emerging issues.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience in at least three of the following services: transaction accounting, IPOs, SPACs, carve-outs, PPA, GAAP conversions, accounting policy drafting, technical accounting advice, consolidation, financial close, audit remediation, benchmarking.

Minimum qualifications

• Degree in Accounting.
• 2-5 years in Assurance, including at least 1 year in Financial Accounting and Advisory.

Preferred qualities

• Interest in business and commerciality.
