Job summary

Hire Hangar, Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer, PACS who acts as the first line of contact for users, troubleshooting and resolving incidents in healthcare IT projects. This role collaborates across IT, Product, Engineering, and PM teams to ensure high service quality and seamless operations.

You will support PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, EMR systems, manage incidents in ticketing systems, and contribute to knowledge base and process improvements for well-governed IT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Healthcare Informatics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in IT support roles, with 3+ years in healthcare radiology context.
• Strong Windows OS and Windows Server experience.
• Linux administration and command-line proficiency.
• Experience with PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary PACS technical support resource for healthcare IT projects.
• Provide second-level support for PACS/RIS and healthcare IT systems.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Coordinate projects and own tasks with customer communication.
• Collaborate with IT, Product, Engineering and PM to resolve issues.
• Monitor support queues and assign tickets to teams.
• Maintain detailed incident records in the ticketing system.
• Contribute to knowledge base and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and IT policies.
• Deliver product training to admins and users.
• Perform system updates and maintenance on PACS/RIS.
