Dow has an opportunity for an Associate Sourcing Specialist for the MRO portfolio in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. This role sources and manages a portfolio of MRO products or services to improve Dow's cost position and supply security in the market through strategic sourcing processes.

You will work with engineers and maintenance teams, using established procedures to analyze standard problems, and you will support senior sourcing professionals with market intelligence and spend information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Business or Engineering).
• Conceptual knowledge of procurement/sourcing theories, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supports a portfolio of MRO products or services to improve Dow's cost position and supply security in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process.
• Supports the negotiation, execution, and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and/or geography, including contract execution and documentation in Zycus.
• Conducts strategic sourcing projects, including market analysis and the development of short- and mid-term strategies.
• Works with functional and business partners to understand business requirements and align sourcing strategy and implementation plans.
• Manages supplier relationships, including the commercial relationship, under the guidance of more senior team members.
• Monitors supplier performance against KPIs, supporting basic tracking and reporting of cost and service data.
• Understands and practices appropriate work process governance and compliance.
• Supports preparation of basic market intelligence and spend information to assist senior sourcing professionals in decision-making.
