Job summary

Dow is seeking a Sourcing Manager (Especialista de Compras I) for Marine and Terminals Logistics, based in São Paulo or Buenos Aires. The role contracts bulk marine and tank storage terminals, driving cost efficiency and supply security across Latin America.

The candidate will negotiate, implement commercial agreements, and lead strategic sourcing initiatives with stakeholders while coaching team members and transforming the sourcing function to deliver sustained value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10 years of relevant working experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• Fluent English skills.
• Preferred: 5 years in liquid bulk marine transportation (chemical tankers) and tank terminals industry.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage a portfolio of Latin America bulk marine and terminals logistics services to improve Dow’s cost position and supply security in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process.
• Provide input to the global logistics buying strategy for marine and terminals logistics. Implement the purchasing strategy in Latin America and support global activities.
• Utilize business acumen and analytics to drive value from the market and influence stakeholders.
• Acts as a change agent to transform the strategic sourcing organization.
• Prepares market intelligence report and insights for internal constituents.
• Responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and/or geography.
• Provide coaching and guidance to other sourcing team members.
• lead projects or project steps within a broader project
• Have accountability for on-going activities or objectives locally and globally.
