Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an Environmental Permits Specialist in Argentina to manage the obtaining, maintenance and monitoring of environmental and sectoral permits for the project. Qualifications

• Experience in environmental processing: study, submission, responses, approvals.
• Interaction with provincial and national agencies on environmental permits.
• Knowledge of mining, energy or infrastructure permitting in Argentina.
• Spanish at professional level and technical English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the permits matrix, deadlines and submissions.
• Prepare and submit Environmental Impact Reports and updates.
• Manage sectoral permits: water, emissions, waste, soil, transport.
• Engage with authorities, answer observations and audits.
• Define environmental baselines and supervise consultants.
• Review deliverables for methodological sufficiency and traceability.
• Estimate hours and costs for environmental studies, align with budget.
• Provide constraints to design teams and monitor compliance.
• Produce progress reports on permits, risks and mitigations.
