Bechtel in Argentina seeks an experienced Environmental Permits Manager to obtain, maintain and monitor environmental and sectoral permits for major projects. • University degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Natural Resources, Geological Sciences or Biological Sciences.
• Professional registration in the corresponding jurisdiction.
• 5–10 years of professional practice in environmental management and permits, with mining, energy or infrastructure exposure in Argentina.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain the project permits matrix, identifying competent body, submission requirements, deadlines and processing timelines.
• Prepare, review and submit the Environmental Impact Report and biennial updates with required technical documentation.
• Manage associated sectoral permits: water use, effluent, emissions, hazardous waste, soil movement, vegetation, and transport of hazardous substances.
• Maintain technical dialogue with provincial and national authorities, respond to observations and audits.
• Define the scope of environmental baselines and supervise consulting firms carrying out related studies.
• Review consultant deliverables for methodological sufficiency and data traceability; ensure alignment with design criteria.
• Ensure environmental commitments are reflected in design, schedule and project controls.
